성경은 영원에 대해 중요한 모습을 보여 줍니다.

천국은 우리가 그곳에 도착하기 전까지는 완전히 이해할 수 없는 신비입니다. 그러나 성경은 영원에 대해 중요한 모습을 보여 줍니다. 그중 하나는 천국에는 존재하지 않을 다섯 가지입니다. 바로 질병, 슬픔, 고통, 죄, 그리고 죽음입니다. 언젠가 모든 것이 분명해질 것입니다. 모든 것이 마침내 이해될 것입니다. 어쩌면 우리는 이렇게 말하게 될지도 모릅니다. “그래서 하나님께서 내 삶에 그것을 허락하셨구나.” 그날이 올 때까지, 하나님은 우리가 그분을 신뢰하기를 원하십니다.

Heaven is a mystery we will not fully understand until the day we arrive there. Yet the Bible gives us glimpses of eternity, including five things that will not be found in heaven: sickness, sadness, suffering, sin, and death. One day, everything will become clear. Everything will finally make sense. We may even say, “So that’s why God allowed that in my life.” Until that day comes, God calls us to trust Him.
