영적으로 자라게 하시는 예수님 ㅡ

영적으로 자라게 하시는 예수님 ㅡ “오직 우리 주 곧 구주 예수 그리스도의 은혜와 그를 아는 지식에서 자라 가라 영광이 이제와 영원한 날까지 그에게 있을지어다”(벧후 3:18) 진리를 받아들이게 되면 생애와 성품에는 근본적인 변화가 일어날 것이다. 왜냐하면 종교라고 하는 것은 종교인의 마음 가운데 그리스도가 거하신다는 것을 의미하며 그분이 거하는 영혼은 영적으로 민활하게 활동하고, 항상 은혜 속에서 자라며, 항상 완전함을 향하여 전진하기 때문이다. 그대가 진리로써 감정이 요동되고 마음이 움직였다고 그리스도인이라고 생각하는 것은 참된 증거가 못된다. 그대는 그대의 산 머리되신 그리스도 안에서 자라나고 있는가? 하나님의 은혜는 끊임없이 우리의 마음에 역사하신다. 그 은혜를 받게 되면 그 받은 증거가 우리 생애와 성품에서 반드시 나타날 것이다. 그리하여 그리스도의 은혜가 항상 영적 생애를 진척 시키고 따라서 영적 발전 과정이 일어날 것이다. Jesus Makes Us Grow Spiritually ㅡ  “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” (2 Peter 3:18).  When the truth is received, it will work radical changes in life and character; for religion means the abiding of Christ in the heart, and where He is, the soul goes on in spiritual activity, ever growing in grace, ever going on to perfection.... It is no real evidence that you are a Christian because your emotion is stirred, your spirit stirred by truth; the question is, Are you growing up into Christ, your living head? Is the grace of Christ manifested in your life? God gives His grace to men, that they may desire more of His grace. God’s grace is ever working upon the human heart, and when it is received, the evidence of its reception will appear in the life and character of its recipient.... The grace of Christ in the heart will always promote spiritual life, and spiritual advancement will be made.  (God's Amazing Grace 324)
