🌻생명의 향기 | 소망으로 구원을 받음🌻 “우리는 소망으로 구원을 얻었다”(롬 8:24). 타락한 사람들은 그들이 사람답게 되기에 너무 늦지 않았다는 것을 생각하도록 지도받아야 한다. 그리스도께서는 확신을 가지고 인류를 영화롭게 하셨으므로 인류의 명예를 스스로 간직하게 하셨다. 가장 깊이 타락한 사람들일지라도 그분께서는 존경심을 가지고 대하셨다. 그리스도께서 적의(敵意)와 부패와 불순을 접촉할 수 밖에 없었던 것은 그분에게 끊임없는 고통이었다. 그러나 그분께서는 당신의 감정에 충격을 받았다거나 당신의 고상한 취미가 훼손되었다는 것을 나타내는 표현을 결코 하지 않으셨다. 인간의 악습과 강한 편견과 거만한 감정이 어떠하든 간에, 그분께서는 그 모든 것을 동정 깊은 친절로 대하셨다. 우리가 그분의 영을 받게 되면, 우리는 모든 사람을 유사한 시험과 시련을 당하는 형제들로, 또한 이따금 넘어질지라도 다시 일어나고자 애쓰며, 낙담과 어려움에 부딪혀 싸우고, 동정과 도움을 갈망하고 있는 형제들로 여기게 될 것이다. 그렇게 되면 우리는 그들을 낙심시키거나 쫓아 버리기 위하여 만나지 않고 그들의 마음 속에 소망을 일으켜 주기 위하여 만나게 될 것이다.  - 치료봉사, 165. 🌻Aroma of Life | Saved by Hope🌻 “We are saved by hope.” Romans 8:24. The fallen must be led to feel that it is not too late for them to be men. Christ honored man with His confidence and thus placed him on his honor. Even those who had fallen the lowest He treated with respect. It was a continual pain to Christ to be brought into contact with enmity, depravity, and impurity; but never did He utter one expression to show that His sensibilities were shocked or His refined tastes offended. Whatever the evil habits, the strong prejudices, or the overbearing passions of human beings, He met them all with pitying tenderness. As we partake of His Spirit, we shall regard all men as brethren, with similar temptations and trials, often falling and struggling to rise again, battling with discouragements and difficulties, craving sympathy and help. Then we shall meet them in such a way as not to discourage or repel them, but to awaken hope in their hearts. - The Ministry of Healing, 165. ㅔ
