🌻 생명의 향기 • 믿음으로 우리는 문어귀에 섬 🌻 그분의 수고와 희생의 생애 동안 무엇이 하나님의 아들을 붙들어 주었는가? 하나님의 아들은 당신의 영혼의 수고의 결과를 보시고 만족히 여기셨다.  영원을 내다보신 그분은 당신의 굴욕을 통하여 용서와 영생을 얻을 사람들의 행복을 바라보셨다.  그분은 구속받은 자들의 환호성을 들으셨다. 그분은 구속받은 자들이 모세와 어린양의 노래를 부르는 것을 들으셨다.... 하나님은 당신의 백성들이 추억의 전당에 어둡고 고통스러운 그림을 거는 것을 즐겨 하지 않으신다. 그분은 모든 영혼들로 하여금 하나님의 정원에 온통 피어나는 하나님의 귀한 약속을 추억의 전당에 걸면서 장미와 백합과 석죽을 꺾게 하실 것이다. 그분은 우리로 하여금 그것들을 곰곰이 생각하게 하시며 우리의 감각을 예민하고 확실하게 하시고 우리가 그것들을 그 충만함 가운데서 취하여 들이며 우리 앞에 놓인 기쁨에 대하여 말하게 하신다.  그분은 우리로 하여금 세상에 처하여 사나 속하여 살지 않고 우리의 애정을 영원한 사물에 붙들어 두게 하실 것이다.  그분은 우리로 하여금 그분을 사랑하는 자들을 위하여 그분이 마련하여 두신 것들에 대하여 이야기하게 하실 것이다.  이것은 우리의 마음을 끌 것이며 우리의 희망과 기대를 일깨우고 이 세상의 투쟁과 시련을 견딜 수 있도록 우리의 영혼을 강화시킬 것이다. 우리가 이 장면을 곰곰이 생각할 때, 주님은 우리의 믿음과 확신을 격려하실 것이다. 그분은 휘장을 벗기고 성도들의 유산을 우리에게 보여줄 것이다. - 하늘, 174.

🌻 Aroma of Life • By Faith We May Stand on the Threshold 🌻 What sustained the Son of God during His life of toil and sacrifice?  He saw the results of the travail of His soul and was satisfied. Looking into eternity, He beheld the happiness of those who through His humiliation had received pardon and everlasting life. His ear caught the shout of the redeemed. He heard the ransomed ones singing the song of Moses and the Lamb.... God is not pleased to have His people hanging dark and painful pictures in memory's hall.  He would have every soul plucking the roses and the lilies and the pinks, hanging memory's hall with the precious promises of God blooming all over the garden of God. He would have us dwelling upon them, our senses sharp and clear, taking them in their full richness, talking of the joy that is set before us. He would have us living in the world, yet not of it, our affections taking hold of eternal things.  He would have us talking of the things which He has prepared for those that love Him.  This will attract our minds, awaken our hopes and expectations, and strengthen our souls to endure the conflicts and trials of this life. As we dwell on these scenes the Lord will encourage our faith and confidence. He will draw aside the veil and give us glimpses of the saints’ inheritance. — Heaven, 174.
